Lutong Bahay in NZ

Thankful to my Mom Tere Mendoza Lauron - for the gift of good excellent yummy cooking. Cheers to Lutong Bahay- bringing Filipino Cuisine in New Zealand.

Lutong Bahay started with plainly cooking "Bilo Bilo or also called Binignit" for meryenda and end up selling it on Filipino Forum online and it was a success! We initially started cooking 1 casserole until we ended cooking 5-6 sets on one weekend.

This inspired us to further bring Filipino food cooking to the next level. We started selling Palabok, Lumpia, Turon, Suman, etc alongside with the "Bilo-Bilo". It was a huge success! We thank the Filipino Community for their patronage and love for eating!

Having said that, we obtained our food license to ensure we are abiding with NZ Law. Their food health and safety handling is a top priority. We had to go thru completing a Food Template Plan and also have the kitchen inspected for compliance purposes. All in all, it was worth it. Its a bit tedious though.

It was 14 March 2019 when we decided to join the Henderson Night Market! It was a busy night market every Thursday and getting satisfactory feedback from our repeat suki customers. 🙂

Pagod but Enjoy and all worth it! Ako ang nagluluto- maniwala kayot sa hindi!😌 salamat sa support from my NZ friends and sa mga suki ng Lutong Bahay

Salamat kay Hubby Harris Loninia sa support. In law Nelson Jhonson Loniniasa walang pagod mag ihaw! Kay Rey Buan Samson - Best Tito and best hopia seller! And kay Kuya Juri Sali sa pagbantay ng kiddos habang busy sa night market at pagluluto!

Eat Safe and Eat with Confidence. Fresh homecooked Filipino Meals! Sana restaurant na soon sa NZ! Gods will!
